Run verb, 1: to go at a pace faster than a walk 2: to go without restraint 3: to contend in a race God gives us these promises by His prophet in Isaiah 40:31 “… those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” This year at King’s Camp, we will have opportunities to learn and experience individually what it means to hope in the Lord and renew our strength! We believe that this year will be a year of spiritual renewal where many will gain new hope, learn to run the race well that is set before them, and walk pleasing before the Lord. Scripture reveals to us that the Lord has made the ultimate sacrifice in providing ALL that we need to run well; however, we are told that we must keep our eyes on Jesus who is the source of our hope, strength, and victory! “Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.” [Hebrews 12:1-3]
