Work Study is a "camp within a camp" of high school age people who want to grow spiritually and take an active role in working out the vision that God has for King's Camp. This program is for young people who want to go to the next step in relating to God and others, and is focused on training the next generation of Christians to live their lives as servant leaders who are devoted to Christ.

The Work Study program gives high school-age campers a chance to minister to the camp that has ministered so much to them. There are three main goals for Word Study:
1. To grow spiritually, to study God's Word and learn more about Him
2. Clean, maintain, and enhance the facilities of King's Camp
3. To train young adults to be true servant leaders using Jesus' example.

Every Work Study Applicant must be registered for camp before applying for Work Study. All young men and women who are 14-18 years of age and want to serve Christ through service to the camp are eligible for Work Study. We are not looking for perfect people but people wanting to grow and serve. The purpose of Word Study is to help young people to rise to a new level of faith and action in their lives.

The basic chores of work-study include serving meals, taking out trash, sweeping, and other general maintenance jobs. These are just the basics that need to be done each day, and only take up a small part of the day. The rest of the day will involve working on camp improvement projects such as building, painting, fixing, etc. There will also be lots of time for fellowship, fun activities and down time. Each day there will be an extended devotion and prayer time, as well as attendance and participation in the camp worship and teaching each night. It's not all work though, there are lots of free times, surprise activities and fun!

Nothing, each Work Study member will have room and board covered for the week they are in the program.
